Wandering Billy

A solid block of wood is shown threaded onto a rope. The rope goes through the block once and then around the block and through the hole again. The rope is removed from the block and then re-threaded onto the rope to commence the trick. The rope is held at each end by two spectators. Under these impossible conditions the block is removed magically from the rope with a quick pull by the magician . This can be performed from under a silk or if the audience is given the choice without the silk making a more dramatic climax. As a nice twist to the ending the block is constructed in such a way to look as if it is gimmicked but it is not the rope and block can be handed out for examination and they can look at them as closely as they like with any fear of finding any secrets. The block measure 9 cm (3 ½“) square complete with rope and instructions Made in the U.K. . £27.50.
