A solid block of wood is shown threaded onto a rope. The rope goes through the block once and then around the block and through the hole again. The rope is removed from the block and then re-threaded onto the rope to commence the trick. The rope is held at each end by two spectators. Under these impossible conditions the block is removed magically from the rope with a quick pull by the magician . This can be performed from under a silk or if the audience is given the choice without the silk making a more dramatic climax. As a nice twist to the ending the block is constructed in such a way to look as if it is gimmicked but it is not the rope and block can be handed out for examination and they can look at them as closely as they like with any fear of finding any secrets. Wicked, Cool, Neat, Brill Well Good. So you perform your first miracle and then pick up the Monkey. The Monkey brings forth his first card. Banana's is his response " No you are not here to eat banana's the card is taken from the paw and returned to the holder.� After a reprimand your next trick is performed only for the Monkey�s response being Rubbish. Banana 's again. This is repeated as many times as you care and finally the Monkey�s paw goes down and comes up with a Banana on the end of his paw.

The two tassels move up and down as if by magic. The audience suspects they know how the magic is accomplished. Surprise ending reveals that they were wrong to doubt the magician.

A computer is shown on the top of a screen fronted box which resembles a computer screen. The top door is opened and your hand is clearly seen inside the empty looking cabinet. The finger now turns the computer on which makes a “ do ra me fah so” scale noise and pressing the keys spell out cat. A cat silk is produced, “Not a real cat you say “ the same again and a Rabbit silk is produced. “Not a real Rabbit” you say and you ask what is the difference between a Rabbit running in the fields to a Rabbit which a magician pulls from a hat. The children tell you and you raise the silk from covering the screen and the children shout out “There is a real rabbit “, and you repeat “ no “ not a real rabbit and then you see what they mean. A real rabbit is close to the screen of the box. The children almost eel that they have produced the Rabbit. The birthday child can press the buttons to make the computer light up and to produce electronic sounds. The rabbit can be loaded into the production box before going to your venue and this is a great advantage. The production box measures 34 cm (13½”) long, 128 cm (11”) high, 24 cm (9½ )deep and is finished in white laminate and the interior is lined in black velvet. The computerised arcade uses four 1½ volt batteries and clips onto the top of the production box for the performance with the use of a cleverly designed rest and support that doubles up as carrying handle. A proven children’s winner from the Great Norman.
The best model ever of this effect supplied by Magic Makers of Nevada. Made in wood and beautifully lacquered in a bright finish making it a prop’ you will be proud to own. Two attractive are shown. One black and the other white. The cut outs repeatedly change places after being hidden by two covers. The children soon realize that the magician is turning the covers around in order to accomplice this and they are quick to shout out their views. In response the performer turns the rabbits round to reveal that this is not the case as one is painted blue and the other yellow on their reverse side. The magician opens a folder and begins to read a ghost story to his young audience. The model castle is shown and whilst explaining that ghost only appear during the dark hours a ghost is seen passing from one side to the castle to the other creating a good reaction from the children. After much by play the ghost is discovered and then replaced with more appearances following even peeping from behind the door. Finally he vanishes only to pop up from the folder from which you began the story.
The castle is made of wood 19 inches by 9inch approx (48cm * 23 cm) British made and not to be confused with foreign models.

Shuffled entered cards are placed into the music box. Cards arise one by one pushing up the lid. The children are shown a model house which they are told is haunted. It is shown very convincingly empty and placed on your table. Now the fun starts, the roof rises and drops and a ghost is produced (the ghosts are white handkerchiefs). The door flies open and another ghost is found in the house. The window lights up and yet a further ghost materialises. The house is constantly shown to be empty, two more ghosts appear magic scary happenings and laughs all the way add up to children's entertainment at it's best. Two yellow wooden covers decorated with a black hat on one and white on the other are lifted to show a black Rabbit and a white rabbit, much fun is had when the rabbits are made to change places. The performer is seen to turn the covers round to accomplice this effect. But finally the performer has the last laugh when the rabbits actually change colour into a green rabbit and a red one. Each rabbit measures 30 cm tall , 17 cm .

A super effect involving two children. A picture of “Hoppy” a frog is shown and slid into an envelope, one child holds it . The second envelope is handed to the other child. After the children shout “GO” the magician says that the frog has jumped ,but the children can see part of the card protruding from the envelope removing this “Hoppy” has really vanished leaving a cut out card. Hoppy reappears on the child’s back. Supplied are two silk screen picture of a frog 11 cm (4½”) by 16 cm (6½” ) laminated, envelopes. and a routine by Ian Adair .
A book folder is shown which has a picture of a snowman on and it claims to instruct you how to make a Snowman. The requirements are a quantity of cotton wool and lots of bits and pieces that are said to be in a cardboard box.
A child is selected to assist and the cotton wool is unsuccessfully piled up to make a snowman. Then a tube is found to put the cotton wool inside to make the job easier. The tube is shown to be completely empty and stood upon a paper plate. The cotton wool is pushed inside followed by a pair of eyes some red ribbon for his scarf and black tape for his arms. After by play with the hat this is finally found and placed in the tube. A wave of the wand and upon lifting the tube there is a lovely snowman

A GLOVE PUPPET CONCEPT FOR YOUR CHILDREN'S WORK A monkey wearing a fez is seen performing on top of a Hurdy Gurdy organ which is hanging round the performer's neck. One hand is turning the handle round to simulate the creation of authentic music. Three openings provide for plenty of pop out opportunities for the monkey, one of which is a red and gilt sound fret on the front the other two are on the top and side. The monkey has an appealing face, a red fez with a brightly coloured waistcoat. A picture of a well is shown, this is dropped down to reveal a colourful Jack and Jill. Like the rhyme they lose their heads. Much fun is had by the heads being lost. Replaced wrongly but finally the heads vanish from the hospital stand and are found safely upon the right shoulders and all is well.

The pieces of a jigsaw are removed from the box, which has on its cover a picture of two Clowns. A child is asked to place the pieces into the jigsaw machine. A colour control is set and a wheel is turned round the back, the result is a loud ratchet noise but only a partial restoration of the puzzle. The half is returned to the machine and more effort is made, resulting in the full picture being withdrawn. But no, one of the Clowns is missing. The performer looks around the machine and revolves the ratchet wheel. The children see the Clown riding around the wheel but lots of laughter before the magician gets the message. The clown is finally located and he completes the picture .

A wooden figure of a Martian is covered with a cloak, its head clearly seen. Suddenly it vanishes, cloak being turned inside out. The little green man is reproduced from the performers pocket or found on the assistant’s back. An easy to do classic from the pages of Modern Magic rarely seen but a real gem. Two figures measure 18.5 cm (6½”) high.

The yellow and orange house either stands on your table or it can be supplied with its own tripod. The house is made of wood, Three doors and a lifting roof allows the puppet a lot of popping in and out opportunities. The glove puppet "Marmaduke" is a monkey made with a moulded rubber realistic and cheeky face. Mickey Mouse. Pluto and Donald duck are invited to a party. The three jumbo plastic cards are placed into a folder that resembles a house, they can be seen through the cut out window. Mickey is said to have spilt jelly down his front so is sent out of the house under cover of a handkerchief and left in full view. The other two cards are removed being shown both sides. Sympathy for Mickey but no need because he is a magician and has vanished leaving a cut out in the card. He is found in the performer's pocket to the children's relief. Smarties can be made to appear, a plain silk can change to a picture, separated links can be joined to make a chain, billets and keys can be secretly exchanged. The glass is 7" high with an ideal design to hide the double sided mirror. even a side view does not expose the edges ( silk not supplied)

Upon lifting the cover the clown's head has altered position, this happens again and again until the clowns head vanishes and returns to make up the clown. Two children assist in washing your socks. The result being that the socks are shrunk, stretched, nearly destroyed but finally restored. In between fun galore with the pressing of the button and turning a handle all making loud noises to the delight of the kids. 3.500How about telling the kids that your milkman sometimes delivers your milk to the back door or sometimes at the front door. When the pinta is left at the front all is well but when the back door is used the milk bottle is only half full. This is clarified with use of a cut out bottle of milk with a different door on each side. The children will soon tell you the diminishing milk is achieved by you turning the door around. The surprise comes when the bottle is turned round to disclose the culprit the contented cat in the bottle. Norman would be well pleased and so will you. Made in wood, nicely painted.

A rabbit’s head and shoulders keep slowly opening the lid of a eight inch square box and goes down quickly after being spotted by the performer. This is repeated approximately every twominutes until turned off. Works from one 1½ volt battery.

The folder showing the Queen of Hearts is shown and the performer recites the well known nursery rhyme. The folder is opened the Knave of Hearts is seen along with two lots of jam tarts. The Knave is removed from the folder and placed for safety inside the prison. However the Knave attempts to escape from the prison by popping out of the top whilst the performer is looking the over way The front of the prison is covered over but still the Knave comes up. Finally the Knave is vanished with the prison being opened up to show he has gone. The Queen folder is taken up again and opened up to show the tarts are safe. The window of the cover is hidden with a silk and the silk is adjusted but this allows the children to see the return of the Knave to be peeping through the window. The silk is removed and the cover opened but no sign of Knave is to be seen. This is repeated and finally when the cover is opened there is the Knave and the tarts has vanished. To finish this trick the tarts are seen to be hanging from under the performers coat. A great children’s effect which was created by one of the finest innovators of modern magic, Namely Mr Ian Adair

From three sets of brightly painted rings one set is selected and a matching ribbon is attached to each ring. A rainbow wand is tied onto the centre of The red ropes and the chosen rings are added. The remaining rings are next threaded on and the ends of the ribbons and the ropes are held by the two spectators. Now for the magic. The wand is removed and waved and the two chosen rings come free leaving the other rings on the ropes. Making a very colourful interlude from a little to carry. Upon opening both the back and front doors this is found to be empty and the robot is missing. “Robert the Robot “ is finally found in the performer’s pocket. A child holds his square head but suddenly he vanishes and is found again in the control unit The control unit is a fancy name for a box like house and is made of wood with two Perspex doors.

When he is thought to be cornered he pops his head from around the side of the empty door. He finally vanishes to be found on the magicians back. The magician shows a empty dog kennel, explaining that he has lost his dog Spot. It is a white dog with black spots and he says that if the children see him will they shout out. The children shout out that a dog is peeping round the side of the kennel. Was it white ? The children respond with "No it was a black one" then a white dog appears. This is repeated a couple of times until the performer asks "Did he have spots?" No! well it could not be Spot. Still looking for the dog the front of the kennel lifted to disclose that. Spot has returned home.


The hooded cat bed makes an ideal vehicle from which to operate the cat glove puppet. It comes in two pieces allowing for easy storage and transportation. 1.000The Crown is shown complete with the jewels. The jewels fall out whilst being dusted by one of your helpers. The jewels are placed in a jewel box for safekeeping. When the box is opened the jewels have vanished. Three sponge balls are produced from the folds of a handkerchief and are placed on the crown as a substitute. But these won’t fool the Queen so the jewels are made to appear magically in the Crown.

A castle is shown empty and, Sammy the soldier is placed on guard. Sammy is small, just the high of the castle. The castle stands 41 cm (16”) high, 20 cm (8”) wide and 5 cm (2”) deep. Nellie the witch is shown and lands in the front of the castle claiming she is going to live there. She says Sammy is too small to stop her. After making a wish, Sammy grows to 51 cm (20”) but undeterred Nellie enters the castle. Sammy wishes again and Nellie is turned into a frog and the castle is still empty. Made in wood and nicely painted and a hit in any party programme, Sammy the witch and frog are flat wood figures .
Four large dice are stacked up to sixteen inches high. Before the performer can attempt this mathematical feat using the spots on the dice, disaster strikes and three of the dice topple onto the floor. ‘This occurs three times each time bringing out the laughs. The dice are hard plastic, white with black spots and are operated by clockwork.


A good comedy interlude in which three balloons are inflated and attached to a tray. A jumbo card is selected and the magician stated that he will make a duplicate card appear in any selected balloon. Before a colour can be shouted out one of the balloon slowly deflated. So only two colours are offered, but the next balloon flies away so only the centre balloon remains this then bursts and the magician looks worried until the audience makes him aware that the jumbo card has appeared underneath the tray.

After your normal black and white wand has been waved it is placed into the upright stand. The white tip remains visible at all time allowing easy access. Casually you remove the wand not noticing that it now has a red centre with white tips. The children soon shout out seeing the change. This is now repeated after due use of the wand but this time the wand has a yellow centre. The change can be repeated throughout your show. The wands are 13” long made in brightly coloured plastic. A new principle is used with no shells and be safely handled. The stand allows the wands to always be to hand not rolling off your table

The performer shows three separate pieces of rope each of different size. There is a very short piece, a medium size piece, and a long piece. The performer folds the three pieces and when the ropes opened out again all three are seen to be the same size if required the ropes can again be restored to their original different size and tossed out for examination.
